"Urban News in its Rawest Form"

Following in the footsteps of fellow Brooklyn MC Jay-Z, Grammy nominated rapper Fabolous is gearing up for the release of his very own concept album entitled "Loso's Way."

"Loso's Way" will be Fab's fifth studio album and will pay homage to Al Pacino's cult classic, "Carlito's Way."

The film follows Al Pacino as the lead character, Carlito Brigante, a smooth talking hustler and his struggles after prison trying to live a law abiding life.

"I think we had some similarities," Fab says. "Carlito was a street dude trying to make the transition from the streets to something better. That's where I felt like I was at in my point in my life of becoming a hip-hop artist and making that transition from the streets to a hip-hip artist."

Fab has tapped numerous producers for the project including Dj Toomp and Jermaine Dupri.

"I told them the situation of the album and the theme everybody played into that," Fabolous explained. "Some people went back and watched the movie. They were on page with me. They knew where I was going. It wasn't people just coming in there and just playing some beat CDs and you pick a beat."

Rumored guest appearances on the album are Jadakiss, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, 50 Cent, Paul Cain, Cassidy, Red Cafe, Asia Cruise, Joe Budden and Freck Billionaire.

Fab also released a mixtape under the same name summer of 2007.

"Loso's Way", the album, will be hitting stores during the first week of February 2009.
