NEW BLACK EYED PEAS ALBUM IN THE POT



The Black Eyed Peas are currently working on a new album to follow up their four million-selling 2005 CD, “Monkey Business.”
Group member will.i.am tells Billboard.com that the set is "almost finished" and "will come out this time next year."
"We have 12 songs," will.i.am says, "and we'll probably do another 30 or 40 songs."
The album, much of which has been recorded while on tour, will be “a fun record," notes will.i.am, but will also deal with some social and political issues.

"We are not complaining," he says. "It's not, 'Oh, everything messed up! Oh my gosh, we're doomed!' It's a thinking record. It brings up what's happening in the world. 'Monkey Business' didn't do that."
The group is also preparing to throw its third annual pre-Grammy Awards Pea Pod event, which this year will honor Interscope Records chief Jimmy Iovine.


Mobb Deep Concert Erupts In Violence


Mobb Deep's Belgium performance last Friday (December 15th) was marred by an over-zealous fan, who, upon being kicked out of VIP, began fighting with security who apparently wanted no part of him.

After leaving the club, the fan returned with his cronies, all of whom began spraying the VIP area with bottles, one of which ricocheted off the wall, cutting 40 Glocc's hand.The response by 40 Glocc and team was swift causing the goons to quickly leave the club.


40 and Mobb Deep were then able to leave the club safely.The remaing dates of the Mobb Deep European tour include tonight in Dublin and Friday in Munich.

40 Glocc will then return to the US to promote his upcoming mixtape hosted by DJ Whoo Kid which will drop in January 07.


Beef on Scream Tour




Well have you wondered why all the old acts besides Bow wow are on the tour?....I didn't give a damn either..but word is there is a little beef between Omarion and Bow Wow when it comes to the tour money. Word is Bow was out shining Omarion. O wasn't too fond of the attention Bow was getting so he slipped in and asked the tour management not to invite Bow Wow and guess what?.....Bow was replaced by Yung Joc. Guess there is trouble in teen paradise after all.

Nelly, Trick Daddy, Others Give Back for Holidays


Many hip-hop and R&B artists are stepping up and giving back to their hometown communities this holiday season.


Trick Daddy will be distributing food and toys to Miami youth as part of an annual Christmas Toy Drive sponsored by his Trick Luvs Da Kids Foundation. There will be a gathering on Dec. 23 at Gould Park in Miami, and Pitbull is scheduled to perform.
Meanwhile, St. Louis rapper Nelly is donating clothes to the Allie Mae Williams Multi Service Center, which provides shelter to victims of Hurricane Katrina. Daphne LaSalle – the winner of the 2006 Apple Bottoms’ model search – helped out by distributing apparel yesterday at the community center.


Keyshia Cole is also giving back to her native Oakland and Bay Area. Cole recently purchased $10,000 worth of toys, and is currently distributing them to several foundations between now and Christmas Eve. Lastly, joined with Houston-based Target Hunger to present its 5th Annual Christmas Carnival Extravaganza on Saturday.


The event featured rides, games, and live performances, and each child who attended received a bag full of groceries and a gift bag from Planet Toys.



More Fish???


Ghostface is telling folks he's releasing 2 albums per year from here on out.




Either it's going to be him or his team as one of the 2--but it will be 2 nonetheless.
He also said the next LP will be a mixture of leftover tracks from More Fish and some new tacks. That's "classic" talk right there.

Anybody else catch that subtle sonning of Jimmy Jones by Hov at the Nets v. Cavs game last ngiht? Hov and Beyonce kicked it on the sideline while the interviewer asked Jay about the Nets moving to Brooklyn and how that's going to work out. Apparently, according to Jay, it's already a done deal. And he started off his response with a loud ass BROOOOOOKLYYN. And he snuck in a BALLLLIN in the interview to top it off. Funny funny.
